Ascent Trip Report

This small sandstone cone looked the most interesting and I was hoping had 100 feet of prominence as it gives a more erect posture than the others. But once again the connecting saddle does not allow it enough rise. This small sandstone feature has the steepest pitch and is class 3 and requires some smearing. It is the closest to the Canyon of the three smaller features and showed no signs of footprints in the sand so some solitude. Coming back to the car my wife pointed out that I was technically island hopping since all these features make up an area they call "Islands in the Sky"
