Ascent Trip Report

One of my favorite LPC peaks and favorite Santa Ana peaks. From Morgan TH, I went over the summit and down the trail on the north side where I discovered two more mounted plastic dinosaurs. There are two well known dinosaurs on the south trail. There is a junction with a trail that descends toward the ranch community and a loop can be made with this trail. The main trail continues all the way to Tenaja Falls (5 miles from the sign). I went about a 1.5 miles down this trail to explore. I lost it in an overgrown grassy field, one of three is crosses, and had to search the perimeter to find the continuation. Eventually, the trail settled into a running stream where I turned around. That part of the trail seemed very remote like it does not get much use. GPS track is partial since it ran out of batteries on the way back. Stats estimated based on partial track.
