Ascent Trip Report

A damp day from the get-go. Put on Micro-spikes when we got out of the trees. Kicked in steps into hard ice up the chute. Reached a very windy summit with no views. The trip down the chute was sketchy. The ice softened a bit making for a very fast glissade that required self arrest. This lead to a semi-controlled self-arrest as the snow piled up under our bodies and kept the pick of the axe from biting into the slushy snow too much. The rest of the trip out was uneventful.
