Ascent Trip ReportSince I guided her up Pinyon, Gail offered to return the favor and take up The Thimble. The weather was iffy, but we opted to try. The snow was long gone, but the wind and dark clouds hung over us. We made our way up the southwest slope, getting ever closer. But as we neared the rock only portion, the skies began to sprinkle a mixture of rain and sleet. Nope, not going to risk it. So back down we went. Maybe the third time will be the charm...
