Ascent Trip Report

A wet and cold day so visited each area individually.

Began with Area 3, RT 15 minutes. High ground here appears to be near 1906 Regiment Terrace. The bumps at the corner of Midlothian Springs and Dragonade are almost certainly not natural but I tramped across them anyway.

Area 1, parked at the church. Thought maybe a rise in the field was higher than the church but hard to tell. All of it showed considerably higher than Area 3.

Areas 4-5 on Old Hundred Road, parked near Mt Sinai Baptist. The high areas are near the houses on the respective contours.

Finally for Area 2, parked at Cityview Dr in the mall, and bushwhacked into the woods. Very wet and thorny, probably even worse in the summer. Occasionally made use of some game paths. In the middle of the contour I found a clear, unflooded area that seemed high and called it good.
