Ascent Trip ReportQuite a nice walk for a rainy day. You wouldn't get any views even if it were nice, and the wide gravelled track means you won't get wet from the bush. The best part is the birds. A Jurassic Park-style fence encircles the mountain, keeping predators out. The result is a forest cacophonous with birdsong; bellbirds R2D2ed above me while fantails followed me the whole way up and down. Note that the northern access to the peak is currently closed due to a landowner dispute.
