Ascent Trip ReportThe snow on the Kinsman Range Trail between Kinsman North and South was a great deal more difficult to deal with, than that encountered on seq 2 in this trip. I post-holed a lot more on this section. The views from the south peak were spectacular. I could see the Adirondacks over the Greens clearly (not possible when I did Moosilauke a few weeks earlier). Oh yeah, and Moosilauke to the south. Really well worth the extra 1.8 miles.
Descended over North Peak, Fishin' Jimmy Trail, Lonesome Lake (a smell of dinner nearly drove me crazy) and down to the Layfatte Campsite. The trails were pretty tricky going with lots of downed trees and snow pack.
From leaving south peak to the campsite took approximately 2.5 hours.
