Ascent Trip ReportStarted from Maple Springs visitor center and ascended to Main Divide Road on the Silverado trail. Continued along Main Divide until the use trail turnoff for Pleasants. This steep trail would be pretty loose in dry conditions but since things were still damp from recent rains things held together. After the summit I continued over the top and past the communication towers back to MD road, which I took over to Hagador. I came back the same way, with a very brief detour to the top of a little peaklet that I thought was Peak 3769 but now I think was just some little bump. Total distance was 18.3 miles with 4500+' of climbing. |
