Ascent Trip Report

This was my acclimitization hike for my week in Colorado. I had flown in from Philadelphia the day before, and Sherman was supposedly the easiest fourteener, and therefore a good candidate for my first hike.

I slept in my car below Leavick, and then drove it to about the point marked 11588 on the topo map. I don't remember much about the hike, except it was easy going on roads, old mine trails, and a climber's path on the ridge. Overall a very easy climb. There were nice views across the Arkansas Valley to the Sawatch from the summit.
