Ascent Trip ReportWe hiked the Sandymount loop on the Otago Peninsula after a morning visit to the Royal Albatross Centre.Part of the Loop is thru grazing sheep and the track is closed during lambing season. Along the way you visit The Chasm and Lover’s Leap all with great views over the Pacific Ocean. Sandymount formed as a large sand dune. Great views from the top including Allen’s Beach, Hooper’s Inlet, Harbour Cone and across the water to Dunedin. |
