Ascent Trip ReportFrom Blackhopebyre along the track up Glentress Rig and Wallett Knowe. There is roadside parking about 300m south of the house. Use of vehicles has trashed the ground along the section between 430m and 490m elevation. Even with the frost, this section was still marshy. Once the ground steepens again it becomes drier.
Big open skies, but the hill itself is rather undistinguished. The summit is 40m SW of the trig point at a junction of fences.
