Ascent Trip ReportWanting to make a full day of it, I started at the Henley Hollow trailhead just outside of Speedwell, VA. I walked across the road and began the Little Dry Creek Trail. This is a very wet trail with multiple crossings of the eponymous Creek. At the end of the creek, it becomes steep and rocky. When you intersect the VHT go straight through the gap. Climb to another intersection and go straight. When you get to the forest road, turn right and go a short distance to the signboard. Climb the stone steps to the top. It was chilly in the mid 30s. I went down to the Virginia Highlands Trail, hung a right and then when I got to US21, I turned left and ran down the road to my car.
