Ascent Trip Report

After Mass special with the family. Solid parking at trailhead. Patches of snow at base to tops of peaks. Had one of the two younger girls on my shoulders basically the entire trip. Both peaks are on some bus route that turns Mount Takao into a circuit. They each had seating for about 100 at the top with shack restaurants. We made it to the top of the first with only the restaurant workers there, closing up shop. We quickly headed for Kagenobuyama as I knew it was getting close to sunset. We passed the cross roads and headed up the second peak just shy of sunset. Slightly higher, it had more snow at the top and better views. It got dark as we headed down, requiring flashlights. Mileage is total for both peaks
