Ascent Trip ReportUp Si trail and made it to the base of the haystack in one hour 45 Min. Ran into Drew Elliott at the top. First real snow encountered 300 yards after getting on ridge trail. Soon thereafter snow covered route rest of the way up. It was thin and icy in places. Thought about going to Crater Lake as well but not enough snow to cover all the brush. Took a more direct route down to the Teneriffe trail using a decommissioned road that shows on USGS map. In many places worked best to go just east in the woods as the road had 4 ft berms every 15-20 feet.
