Ascent of Alander Mountain on 2019-01-26
|Others in Party:||Dennis Dempsey|
|Date:||Saturday, January 26, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||2240 ft / 682 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWe did this hike as part of a three day hike with Alander Mountain-Southwest Ridge and Bish Bash Mountain.
From Alander Mountain Southewest Ridge - the views open up with views towards the Catskills. At the summit there are two benchmarks and remnants of what looks like an old fire tower. There were nice views over to our objective - Bish Bash Mountain.
Icy conditions were the result of a snow/rain/deep freeze last week.
