Ascent Trip Report

Continuation of trip from Peak 2050. Descended to Kirkland Pass and then roads towards Hugo Peak. From there, took a trail angling off to the left to the summit. The summit is not where it is mapped as it off to the NE outside of the mapped highest contour. The trail ends at the road end at a landing. From there we took the road back to the pass and then took the road going South which contours past the Pack Lookout peak. Then back East on the approach road to the car. Uneventful. Some pleasant forest. Ran into a trio that seemed a little unsure of how to get back to the parking lot so I directed them and gave them my paper map. Not much in the way of views but some ok forest. While not a particularly rewarding hike and the P400 didn't really move me up any lists, it was very nice to have a short drive to a hike for once.
