|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||Palo Verde Peak|
| Elevation:||1760 ft / 536 m|
Ascent Trip ReportFollowed Bob Burd's route from Hwy 78 up the wash. Easy to follow the wash, just make sure you go as far to the SW of the summit as possible and then go up that gulch. When you get to the "window" look down to the left at the powerline road and then turn right and follow the ridge up to the true summit. The 3rd class knife edge looked scary at first but it was secure and easy, just stay to the right side and the exposure isn't as scary. I thought about going down the first gulch near the top but Bob said he did that and didn't recommend it, very loose, so I returned the same way I went up except I walked along the base of the knife edge, on the left side going down. It was 8 miles R/T.
