Ascent Trip ReportWith rain threatening, needed an easy peak climb on a long day of driving back to the Bay Area. We followed Old Highway 58, turned off onto Meadow Grove road, turned right at a fork to the mine. A 2WD high clearance vehicle could easily travel the road into the mine.
We met members of the LA chapter of the Mineralogical society. Their info is noted here:
Very nice people. Kooks know each other (climbing kooks, and rock kooks) and I think appreciate the craft. We have lots of rocks inside and outside of our house - I can just imagine what their homes look like!
The summit register goes back to 2006.
A nice snack of a climb!
