Ascent Trip ReportThis was our second fire tower peak of the afternoon, after visiting Russell Hill earlier. We parked at the turnaround at the end of Jeremy Hill Road and followed the unmarked, gated path on the south side of the road, skirting by a house and passing a pond. This was obviously the former road to the fire tower. There was old pavement at the beginning, and a telephone line ran the length of the road. After 0.3 miles, we took a left into the state forest and continued for 0.2 miles up a gradual incline. The path forked and made a small loop around the summit, at the far end of which were the tower remains, overgrown with trees. We found some barrels, a steering wheel and other scrap metal, a benchmark, the end of the telephone line, and of course the cement footings of the tower.
