Ascent Trip ReportTunnel Trail trail-head on Tunnel Road up toward 7 Falls, then left (West) up the ridge to Arlington. The easiest route stays right on the top of the ridge for the first 2/3 of the way. After the ridge steepens, and a prominent pine tree is reached, the (easiest) route continues about 20 meters to the left (South) of the ridge-line for several hundred meters then regains the crest before reaching Arlington. This used to be a laborious brush crawl through a virtual dark tunnel of green before the Jesusita fire of 2009, at which point it became the scenic walk it is today. The last 1/3 of the ridge is particularly engaging, as one crawls around, over, and even under the large sandstone blocks along the way. From Arlington, Cathedral Peak is an easy 15 minute jaunt continuing out the ridge.
