Ascent Trip ReportI have been looking at the Thompson Point Cabin through binoculars from various summits in the area for over 20 years. I figured that I would finally check it out this weekend, and noticed a recent trip report showing some beautiful images of it. Imagine my surprise when I hiked all the way up there only to find it had recently been demolished. Why? I cannot think of a good reason. What a bummer. I should’ve gone there a little earlier. I saw a truck drive up there sometime in the late 90s or early 2000s. |
