Ascent Trip Report

From our park point at the junction of 2N29 and 2N31 we hiked 5.4 miles on the PCT to the small campsite at the end of the road just below the summit. Jim and I continued on to the top while the others, who had summitted this HPS peak in early 2016, decided to turn back. Low clouds and fog made for poor visibility almost the entire day but the sky cleared just long enough to snap a couple photos.
Bailey T. was gracious enough to furnish transportation up the forest road, which allowed Jim and I to park near Clyde Ranch along Lone Pine Canyon Road, and avoid backtracking on the return trip.
