Ascent Trip ReportWhat a fascinating trail. Parked at Cold Springs lot on 9D. Took the Washburn trail (white markers) past the quarry up the steep rocks to Table Rocks for a nice view of the Hudson Valley. More uphill rocky climb to an overlook of the Hudson Valley. Decided to follow the short Bull Hill yellow route to another overlook with a fantastic view of Storm King Mountain and north up the Hudson River. Kept going on the yellow to red, following the red Brook Trail for a bit to see some ruins of the Cornish Estate (cattle barn). Returned back to the blue Cornish Trail to view the main ruins, then back to the parking area. Parking area has maps and porta potties. Trails are well marked. Great views, terrain is awesome. Bull Hill is also called Mount Taurus.
