Returned to the area to get this peak added after I previously bagged Scully Hill. Excellent panoramic views from the summit. Coming down just past Scully Hill I saw a small hole in a white rock formation on the side of the trail. Thought I saw something go in there out of the corner of my eye. Looked back and saw bees going in and out. Before I knew it I was getting stung and started running as fast as I could to outrun them. Analyzing the track points I saw my speed jump to 9mph so the bees nest is somewhere near N33.87770° W117.67739°. Be careful if you see this tiny cave!
Update: I had a very painful, itchy, swollen reaction to the sting on my leg lasting three days leading me to believe they were Africanized honey bees, please be very careful!!!
