Ascent Trip ReportIf you're traveling on the Northway (I-87), GPS coordinates will take you to a spot right on the Northway! That's because the trailhead is in between two tunnels beneath the Northway. So get off the nearest exit, find the Mount Severance Country Store (1375 US Route 9) and the trailhead is right by it. You go through the two tunnels and follow the yellow markers (easy to follow) right up to the summit for views of the Schroon Lake area. About 100 yards past the summit, there is another view of Paradox. There's a geocache to the backside but I couldn't find it in the snow. Trail was quite messy, as there were several different "paths" in the snow, as no one made a single one. There was a party of 3 with 3 dogs not on leashes and a couple of them kept getting under my feet. They didn't attempt to leash them.
