Ascent Trip Report The Plan was to climb Mulhacen. As we are in Cadiz in dry-Dock with the Marella Celebration it was a long drive to get to the Trailhead at Hoya de Portillo and spend the Night there in the Car. Was raining already during the night and windy. At 7:00 am I made my way up in wet and windy Conditions and freezing temperatures, Quiet a bit snow on the Road up there. Did not see any changing of the weather and it got actually worse I called it a day at Alto de Chorrillo a small consolidation price instead of making it all the way to Summit of Mulhacen. Oh well what counts is the experience and a day in the Mountains is always better than being stuck on the Ship. |
