Ascent of Abiel Peak on 2018-11-11Date: | Sunday, November 11, 2018 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Abiel Peak | Location: | USA-Washington | Elevation: | 5365 ft / 1635 m |
Ascent Trip ReportTook PCT south from Windy Pass to usual junction and headed up boot path to junction with Silver Peak trail. From hear on it was breaking trail up and over South Silver and all the way to Abiel. Really glad I had my ice axe for the ascent of the ridge as snow was deep in places. Lots of wind on ridge. Summit views were spectacular. Thought about tagging Silver as well but decided against as once I got back to junction saw at least 30 people heading up. |
