Ascent Trip Report

***Sierra Club HPS Hike
Leaders: Mars Bonfire, Kathy Cheever Bonfire, and Dave Comerzan
Peaks: Round Mountain (5272'), Luna Mountain (5967'), and Rattlesnake Mountain (6131') in that order
Stats: 4.5 miles, +1300', with a drive between each peak. Lots of class 3/4 boulders to scramble en route to each summit. I did a bunch of them. Very fun!!!

(1) Round Mountain: 0.5 mi RT, +300'. Did some class 3 boulder scrambling (just myself).
(2) Luna Mountain: 2.0 mi RT, +500', drove in further than HPS guide indicates. Did lots of class 3 boulder scrambling (just myself).
(3) Rattlesnake Mountain: 2.0 mi RT, +500' via Pathfinder Route.
Did lots of class 3 boulder scrambling (just myself).
