Ascent Trip ReportRoad in was rough with rocks sticking out. Could not get to the final parking area due to a huge and I mean huge puddle. We had a Toyota Highlander and wouldn't chance it. We parked in a niche along the dirt road by the marked trail around the puddle (to the left before the huge puddle). There were tracks where some vehicle did go through, but it wasn't parked, might have been a ranger checking things out. Most were parked in the two areas before the final one. Anyhow, the trail was very wet in most spots, having had a lot of rain recently. Lots of run off. Not a lot of mud, though. Puddles. Some dry areas, too. Spectacular views from the summit. You can see some high peaks and Vermont. It's easy to climb down the rocks to get a less obstructed view (some trees are in the way). There are a couple of paths around the summit where you can get some more views.
