Ascent Trip ReportThis hike was almost entirely on a maintained trail except for the last half mile. The trailhead is in Pine Valley. The trail goes up through Forsyth Canyon. The trail crosses a stream several times but most of the time the stream crossings are trivial. The trail follows a wooded canyon which reaches a flat meadow area with many Aspen trees. You then switch back up the side of Burger mountain and start a traverse towards Signal Peak. At some point you must leave the trail and bushwhack up to the peak. The peak is entirely covered in trees with only a small view.
