Ascent of Eldorado Peak on 2018-10-20
|Date:||Saturday, October 20, 2018|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||8868 ft / 2702 m|
Ascent Trip ReportRoute is on spectacular shape, especially considering its October 20! The glacier is in primo shape and we didn't rope up until the exposed Ridgeline.
A few notes: there's a rather large crevasse on the east Ridge. Best way to gain the east knife edge Ridge is to climb directly up the south face. Moderately steep, but short snow climbing up the south face to gain the east Ridge. Protected it with a running belay with 1 picket. It's short but obviously very exposed.
