Ascent Trip Report

After getting rained out on our Utah trip (planned to go the Guardian Angels, but went to several national and state parks and monuments in SE Utah and NE AZ), we were heading back home on I-40, driving through rain and snow (Flagstaff) and I got the idea of doing Spirit. We checked the weather and it looked good, so we did a small detour. PERFECT weather, cool, clear, sunny, breezy. Nice hike along a very well ducked route. Great 360 views. The road in to Christmas Tree pass was really good and we didn't have to air down. Passable by 2WD passenger car. One good spot to camp at TH but lots more at the pass.
