Ascent Trip Report

Started at 4500 ft level on NF9331. Followed a trail that angled back to the west. It eventually intercepted the ridge trail to Craggy but you can probably short cut between the two to save some distance. Craggy Peak trail is a motorcycle trail and is easy to follow. There is a junction that leads down to Blue Lake. We picked a spot close to Craggy and left the trail to head up the slope. The false summit on the south is fairly easy to reach and views are fantastic. To reach the actual summit, we descended to the notch between the crags and contoured along the cliff base to the left. Go around large block at cliff base and go up gully behind it. Gully becomes rock face with Class 4 move to ridge top. Scramble right with exposed Class 4 move around large crumbly boulder. A few more steps to summit boulder. We rapped down summit block but down climbing is doable.
