Ascent Trip ReportStarts out flat for the yellow section, then you come to a sign that says .90 mi. 825 ft. elevation gain (red trail). First is a steep rocky section, then it's less rocky. You arrive at a rocky outcrop summit where there is a sign for trails to the Vermont view the lake view. Then the lake view splits off to eastern view and lake view. This is where I got completely mixed upon return to that rocky outcrop summit. A little sign pointing to the trail back to the trailhead would have been perfect. I had a waypoint set in my GPS for the trailhead, but it was heading me in the opposite direction. Lucky, a man carrying the biggest maple leaf I ever saw (probably 12" diameter) was approaching the summit and headed me in right direction (although my GPS took awhile to agree). On the way down, I took a short blue section off the yellow trail that leads to a Civil War era gravestone (the pamphlet calls it a cemetery. I only saw a single gravestone).
