Ascent Trip Report

Fourth trip up to the tower, making it all four seasons. Raining the whole time so no views but the scenery with changing leaves and mist made for some nice photos. Although the trail was wet, muddy and had wet leaves, I didn't slip at all. Used poles for extra "insurance" against slipping. The cab of the tower now has wood and plexiglass covering the windows, so you cannot see out. I wasn't able to open them. Last visits, even in the winter, there was not this covering. I also noticed an outhouse at the beginning of the path to the observer's/steward's cabin which I never noticed before. Maybe it's a new one or moved from another location? Or maybe I just hadn't seen it before, which is unlikely.

One man had finished the hike as I started up at 8 am. I summited solo, then a family arrived. Lots of others ascending as I descended.
