| Location:||USA-New Hampshire|
| Elevation:||4200 ft / 1280 m|
Ascent Trip ReportStarted on the Avalon/AZ trail just after 9 am after driving from NY and parking at the Crawford Highland center. Rather easy trail up to the ridge and spur over to Tom. The hike up to Field was rather easy as well, no real views on either summit. The col between Field and Willey was awful and reminded me of something in the Adks. There was a great outlook just off the summit of Willey looking into Crawford notch and at the presidential range. Perfectly clear day with visibility for miles. The col back to field was again brutal, the trek down the Avalon trail to Mount Avalon was also not to fun. The views from Avalon were the best of any of the summits, and the trail down from there was only steep at the beginning.
