Ascent Trip Report

We approached via Skyline Drive from the South. We accessed Skyline Drive from Ephraim, UT. Ephraim Canyon road is beautifully graded and easily 2WD to Skyline Drive. Skyline Drive is rocky and bumpy requiring clearance, but no 4WD sections to our parking spot at N39.39769 W111.38119 . After climbing we attempted to continue north on Skyline Drive (heading for East Benchmark). Within a couple hundred yards north we encountered severe rutting that turned us around.

For the hike itself we roughly followed the old road to the North Tent summit ridge. From the parking spot the road has been well disguised with boulders and looks more like a drainage. Once on the North Tent ridge the social trail over to South Tent becomes visible. It's easy going, maybe Class 2 a couple times. Much of it seemed to be on dried mud, so I wouldn't have wanted to try it after a rain.
