Ascent Trip ReportA really enjoyable scramble from a pretty accessible spot. The guidebooks and sites all warn about difficult routefinding, and I guess bringing a GPS is pretty much necessary at this point, but honestly the routes through the forest are all quite clear if you pause occasionally to make sure you're not being foolish. The route is mostly very mellow, easy meadows leading to talus-hopping, with really only one 10-foot section of sketchy scrambling. We saw two slings around rather thin trees that someone had clearly used as a rappel anchor, but honestly I don't think the trouble of hauling a rope up is worth it, nor the risk of having a tree blow on you.
Anyway, we had a great time, especially gorging ourselves on blueberries, which were in high season.
