Ascent Trip ReportHiked w Ryan from Lincoln woods parking lot on 8/31/2018. The first 4.5 miles are fairly straight and flat. The trail then meanders upwards. There are three moderately steep rock stair cases, followed by three or four easy to navigate river crossings. When you reach Bond Cliff, there's a fun little steep climb up, afterwards all climbs are relatively easy/moderate. The tough part is the long distance and the strewn rocks hurt my feet. Also adding to the challenge for me was the weight of my back pack, carrying my sleeping bag and enough food and water for the weekend at Guyot campsite and the Bonds. There is a fresh stream at Guyot but the water must be filtered. Had my pic taken at the infamous bondcliff rock and the proceeded to the Bond where we saw the sun begin to set. The sky was orange and the sky, partly cloudy and just beautiful. Got to Guyot at dusk, 8pm. It took us 6 hrs to reach Bond Cliff, another hour to reach the bond and another hour to reach the camp site. In the morning we packed up and hit West bond which was tricky to find. Looking at the map didn't help at all. Asked someone and we were about 100 yards from it. It was on our way to The Bond with an old wooden sign marking the trail that is easy to miss. Hike west bond then retraced our steps back to Lincoln woods which ment legging the bond and bond cliff in reverse order. Amazing views all around the pemigewasset wilderness.
