Ascent Trip ReportDeer Mountain Trail has been recently rebuilt by TCTA. It is well cleared and easy to follow, and is well described on pages 277-279 of their Cohos Trail guidebook. Reports of the tower's removal have been greatly exaggerated; the cab and steps are gone, but all the steel and three wooden landings remain. With care, I was able to climb to the first landing and get a view east. See my separate report on Deer Mountain for the continuation.
