Ascent Trip Report

The descent across the talus slope was a little precarious in places, with lots of loose rocks and sand in places. Another climber's GPS track goes directly through an area of 10-15 ft cliffs at about 6490 ft elevation. I wasted some time sizing up the possible Class 4-5 routes here, and then bypassed the cliffs to the south. After signing the register, I wandered around below it to a couple of alternative locations of the county high point, based on various topo maps.
