Ascent Trip Report16 Days on route (West Buttress). Only one storm day, which was a rest day at 14,000. 105 degrees in the tent at 11,000 ft. It was 10 degrees on the summit, we spent 45 minutes before heading back down to high camp. All in all a rather easy climb, we had both experienced more extreme weather in the Chugach. Looking back, would have taken less food. We packed enough for 5,000 calories a day and neither one of use could consume that amount of food. |
