Ascent Trip ReportTrace and I set off from Easy Pass with the intention of completing all four T100 peaks on Ragged Ridge. We decided to take the sidehill traverse to the camp below Mesahchie and Katsuk rather than dropping all the way to Fisher Creek and reascending. We stuck more or less to the 6400' contour until about 3/4 of the way to camp, at which point we ran into some really nasty terrain. We were forced to downclimb exposed and dirty class 3/4 for about 200 feet until we found a passage through the cliffs. On the way back we stayed at 6500' and found much friendlier terrain with a few class 3 cruxes crossing through some gullies. If you really nail the routefinding on this traverse it's not that bad, but getting off route could quickly lead you to some very dangerous spots.
We followed Fletcher's excellent trip report (http://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8006757) for the routes on Mesahchie and Katsuk. There's definitely class 4 climbing in the gully leading to the Mesahchie/Katsuk Col and on the summit ridge of Mesahchie, and everything is pretty loose.
