Ascent Trip Report

From an old abandoned mine the road climbs through a spectacular forest of bristle cone, white fir, and limber pine trees to within about 0.3 miles of the top.

The summit is limestone, rock-strewn and open. The view out to the west is a dramatic drop off into Spring Valley and looking north, Wheeler Peak and Jeff Davis rise above the sky line. Lincoln Peak rises above a dense stand of trees south and looks to be about 2 miles away. See Photo
I placed a mason jar and register under a small rock pile.
