Ascent Trip ReportThe more scenic route would be to visit Castle Mt. Rouge and climb up the backside of this peak. However, just having bagged Red Mountain - South Peak for the Durham County HP, I continued a quiet walk to the end of the cul-de-sac on Quarterhorse Run and then through the woods. It was so cold that the leaves shattered upon each footstep. Limited views. |
