Ascent of Mount Toll on 2018-07-21Date: | Saturday, July 21, 2018 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Motorized Transport to Trailhead: | Car | Peak: | Mount Toll | Location: | USA-Colorado | Elevation: | 12979 ft / 3955 m |
Ascent Trip ReportMitchell Lake Trailhead was full, so I started from Brainard Lake, which added about 2 miles total to the hike. It was smoky in the morning from fires burning to the west. Sunny and breezy at lower elevations, pretty calm on the summit. Only a few hikers above Blue Lake. Tons of people down below. It's been a while since I've climbed a significant peak. This was a fairly tough one, but it was worth it. |
