Ascent Trip Report

Hiked this loop again with my daughter-in-law Kait this time. Kait runs half marathons but hears all of our hiking stories and wanted to experience it. She was also 4 1/2 months pregnant at the time of the hike. She's a real trooper. She did great and really enjoyed it. I'm sure this won't be our last hike together. It was a beautiful day with clear views from the summit. There was probably 8-10 other people enjoying the view. Kait wanted to keep moving so we took a couple of selfies and headed off on the Blue dot trail. About half way down we saw a doe about 10 yards off the trail who was clearly used to seeing people, and wasn't scared at all. It was a pretty leisurely hike, and took a little less than 3 hours. Very enjoyable morning.
