I really got into peakbagging after meeting Bob Bolton in 2003. As a result, you will see that the majority of my peaks were after I reached the age of 62. My only complaint is that I didn't meet Bob sooner cuz I missed a lot of good climbing years and I've learned that ageing really slows you down. I'm almost 80 but while I want to hike and climb as I did when I was younger, the body has a way of saying "whoa". The passing of one of best men I've ever known, Dennis Poulin, has left a big empty spot in my heart and planning ability since I was always able to call him and say, "meet me in Arizona and we'll get some of those prominence peaks down there together". He always met me as planned and we had great adventures together. Also kudos to another great friend, Ken Jones, for joining me on so many mountain efforts. So to Bob, Dennis and Ken, thank you. Thanks also to Greg for this amazing website, it is the best on the internet and so greatly appreciated.
