I am an older hiker and, though I go a bit slower these days, I still love getting out there, challenging myself, and exploring the mountains and the woods. I don't know anything better for my heart and spirit! I have done most of my hiking on the East Coast, but hope to get out west this summer - perhaps to the John Muir Trail, if all goes well. I've section hiked the AT, thru hiked the LT, hiked the 4K peaks in NH in both winter and the other seasons, and the 4K peaks of New England. I am currently redlining the Whites but am not really concerned about whether I manage to complete them all. I'd like to, but even if I don't, I love how redlining takes me to trails that I've never seen or even heard of before. It has been a wonderful exploration so far! |
