My favorite peaks are found in the Wallowas, the deserts of Southeast Oregon, the Lost River Range, and Nevada where alpine rests on desert ridges above 9,000 feet. I've made some good friends in the last decade of peakbagging, and it's always great to come across other users of this website on summits like North Schell Peak Nevada or Eagle Cap in the Wallowas. I'm totally out of my league here... but that's Bob Bolton, Dean Molen, Dennis Poulin and myself:
